My name is Carl Sebastian, and welcome to my profile and bio. I am a Professional Tattoo Artist in Sydney, Australia, I am originally from Sweden and have a background in Graphic Design.  I have been working as a Tattoo Artist for the past 10 years all over Europe. Destinations include London, Paris, as well as, the United States of America. In 2015, I was part of ABC s documentary series: Tattoo Tales. It was in a popular tattoo studio right on the shores of world-famous Bondi Beach. Go check out the show in the link below!

While my preferred style which I specialise in is Japanese tattooing. However, I am well-versed in all styles of tattooing. This includes Old school Neo-traditional, as well as realistic black-and-grey tattoos. I try to create custom and personalised pieces for all my clients because I prefer not to replicate someone else’s tattoos. I’d rather create something that is unique for each and every customer. For me personally, it’s really important to utilize the body’s natural shape. This is to make sure the design fits the natural flow of the body, therefore ensuring an incredibly-looking tattoo.

Drop me a line if you are interested in getting a tattoo.

Booking information and FAQ

To book an appointment a deposit is required; the deposit will come off the total cost of your tattoo upon completion of your tattoo.

You may not use your deposit as payment until the last session of your tattoo. Please understand that all quotes and estimates are just that, an estimate of how long the tattoo will take.  The tattoo might take longer than initially quoted due to a number of reasons such as :

  • excessive bleeding
  • client moving around or requiring breaks due to pain
  • change of placement of the design

I try to tattoo as fast an efficiently as possible while still maintaining a high standard of work but please be understanding if the tattoo takes longer than the initial quote.

Cancelling or re-booking  an appointment

To cancel a larger booking (3 hours or more) you will need to give one week (7 days) notice or you might lose your deposit.

Hand and neck tattoos

I have no problem doing hand and neck tattoos for you as long as you already have visible tattoos. The skin on your neck and hands is more exposed to the sun than the rest of your body. For this reason hand and neck tattoos might require a  small touch-up session because of the delicate placement this is not a free touch up.

Touch-ups

This is a bit of a touchy subject (pun intended) so here goes. On small tattoos where a fixed price has been given you’re entitled to a free touch up of your tattoo should it be required (note with proper aftercare you shouldn’t need a touch up) this touch up session must be redeemed no later than 1 month after your initial session.

Free touch -ups do not apply to the following areas of the body:

  • Fingers
  • Hands
  • Feet
  • Neck
  • Face

There is no such thing as touch ups on sleeves and larger work this is considered ongoing tattoo work.

If it’s determined that your tattoo has been scared or lost color due to improper aftercare then I reserve the right to refuse a free touch up. I take great care in applying your tattoo but you need to take care after the tattoo has been done.

This might be reasons such as

  • Picking the scab
  • Swimming or sunbathing before the tattoos has healed properly
  • Ignoring aftercare advice

Will color fade ?

Everything fades to some extent, but with proper aftercare and shielding your tattoo from harmful sun exposure your tattoo should stay bright in for 10-15 years without a touch-up.

I recommend using sun cream with SPF 50 in it. It’s what I use myself and people always comment on how bright the colour is in my own tattoos. There is no secret other than that use sun cream or keep your tattoos out of the sun.
